What to watch

• Will the Wizards’ “Big 3” of John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Otto Porter be able to limit Isaiah Thomas and the Celtics, who have major injures in the frontcourt?

• Will Otto continue to produce solid numbers for the Wizards?

• Will our bench players provide more than 20 minutes to support our starting five?

• Takeaway: a win tonight will get the Wizards back on track

Key Matchup

Battle of the front courts.

Markieff Morris has produced well this season, especially on the offensive end. He, along with Marcin Gortat who can provide support on both sides, will be the ones to watch tonight. With injuries to Al Horford, Kelly Olynyk, and Jae Crowder, the Celtics will rely on Tyler Zeller, Jonas Jerebko, and Amir Johnson to pick up the pieces. Look for the Wizards to try to dominate the Celtics’ frontcourt replacements and attack them in the post.

BONUS: Otto Porter vs. Jaylen Brown:

There is significant improvement seen in the former Hoya and that has Wizards fans feeling pretty good. He is turning into a reliable third scorer next to Wall and Beal. Having racked up a few double-doubles along with a recent 20 point-8 rebound performance, look for the Wizards to give Porter a good amount of ball control on the offensive end.

Otto will likely match up against Jaylen Brown, the 3rd overall pick of this year’s draft who has been solid for Brad Stevens so far.

X-factor

The Wizards Bench

The Wizards haven’t found anyone beyond the starting 5 and Tomas Satoransky who can play at a consistent level. If the bench can provide a good amount of production on both ends of the court, especially considering the key injuries for Boston, they should be able to provide the support needed for the starting five.

Fun Factor:

Find a four leaf clover, whether it be real one or a printout from the web, and wish for the Wizards to win tonight, because:

• They are playing against the Celtics
• We could use a little extra luck

Prediction

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the Wizards will win against the Celtics for their second win of the season. With John Wall fired up from last game and a depleted Celtics front court, the Wizards absolutely must take take advantage.
