Wizards at Magic Pregame: Let The Win Streak Commence!

Regular Season Game 5

Wizards (1-3) at Magic (2-3)

November 5, 2016 at 7:00 PM
Amway Center, Orlando, FL
TV: CSN Mid-Atlantic
Radio: 1500 AM

Last time they met was..

Januray 9, 2016 in Orlando: Wizards 105, Magic 99

What to watch

More magic. Less Magic.

The Wizards rectified a number of issues last night in DC. Bradley Beal finally had a max game, scoring 28 points – 20 in the second half – and adding 5 assists. John Wall committed just 2 turnovers. The defense stepped up and locked down.

Tonight (and the rest of the season) requires more of the same. Scoring from our scoring guard. Ball control from our ball control guard. Defense from everyone.

Key Matchup

Bradley Beal vs Evan Fournier

You might be more familiar with Evan Fournier’s hair, than with his work. In case you’re not familiar with either, here’s some of his hair:

And here’s his some of his work:

Fournier is scoring 19 points per game. That’s not a superstar stat, but he plays with superstar confidence.

We are all familiar with Bradley Beal’s work, and his tendency to show up with the reliability of your local contractor. But with his new contract, he needs to show up like an All-Star every night.

He was an All-Star last night. Let the Magic continue.

The Wizards travel from DC to Orlando to play the second night of a back-to-back. The Magic are playing their second straight home game, with a full day’s rest in between. Hopefully, early in the season, the back-to-back will be a little easier. Still, we’ve seen what some of the Magic players can do with fresh legs. I’m looking at you Aaron Gordon.

That thing cracks me up.

Too much Wall and Beal magic for Orlando to handle. Let the win streak continue!
