Last time they met was..

December 10, 2016 – Verizon Center, Washington D.C.: Wizards 110, Bucks 105

What to watch:

Can the Wizards deliver a win under the tree?

The Wizards lost a heartbreaker on Monday night to Indiana while on Wednesday in Chicago, showed great heart coming back from double digits in the opening quarter en route to their biggest road win of the season. The Wizards hope to get a win in Milwaukee so they can go home for the holidays with a 2-1 record from the road trip.

Both of these teams are fairly evenly matched record-wise with the Wizards having played one more game than the Bucks. The team’s last meeting came 13 days ago at the Phone Booth, which saw the Wizards rally late in the game. Trailing by five with just under four and a half minutes to go, the Wizards went on a 15-5 run to close out the game.

These teams will meet again the day after Christmas only this time at Verizon Center. The season series will wrap up in Milwaukee on Sunday Jan. 8.

Key Matchup:

Markieff Morris vs. Jabari Parker

Ahh the good old crashing of the boards. Morris had his second best rebounding game during Wednesday’s win with 11 rebounds. Parker has been on a tear recently with 25 or more points in six of his last eight games. If the Wizards want to win, Morris needs to contain Parker and continue to be a presence in the paint.

X-Factor:

Run and gun.

Both of these teams use the fast break to their advantage. The Bucks are the best in the Eastern Conference in that category with 15.9 fast break points per game, while the Wizards are just behind them in third with 15.1 per game. In Wednesday’s win over Chicago, the Wizards had 32 fast break pints.

Fun Factor:

If the Wizards win, it’ll be back to back dubs both this week and against the Bucks. The Wizards will face the Bucks again Monday, in back to back games. If the Wizards win tonight and Monday, that’s back to back to back against the Bucks. Take it away Drake.

Prediction:

Despite their GM making Santa’s naughty list (again), the Wizards will give their fans an extra Christmas present with a win. The Wizards will finish their trip 2-1, have a good couple of days of quality time with their families then get back to work on Monday.
